Joseph Francis Mehling

Age 88, of Gates Mills, OH, passed away on December 29, 2025. Beloved husband of 64 years to Janet S. Mehling (nee Rosasco); dearest father of Michael J. Mehling, Karen Mehling-Howson (Geoff), and Timothy Mehling (Cristina); loving grandfather of Nicholas, Riley, Brendan, Joseph, Charles, and Grace; and great-grandfather of Dominic, Josie, and Ryder; dear brother of Sr. Mary Ann Mehling, IHM, Charles (deceased) (Anne), and James (deceased) (Diane); uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Joe graduated from St. Joe's in 1956. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served for 2 years. Joe worked at Republic/LTV Steel as a supervisor for 34 years. While working, he completed college and earned a bachelor's degree in business administration. Joe loved his toys from cars to boats and spent many hours driving around in his convertible. One of his favorite pastimes was socializing with friends at local pubs. Joe and Janet loved their days of traveling and spending the winters in Florida.
