I "met" Joe probably 10 years ago or so playing online poker. Playing for awhile, he asked to speak with me. Our first conversation literally was over 4 hours. The wisdom this man had was amazing to me. There was never a dull conversation, never a lull whenever we spoke. The last time I spoke to him shortly before Christmas, he told me again of how proud he was of me.
Joe saw me through some really dark times in my life. He could get my attention with his words more than anyone I've ever known. He never judged me .... I can still hear his voice with "Deb....Deb....you're not listening to what I just said!!" LOL. Then he'd say it again to be sure I got his point which, though I hated it at times, he was always right on....ugh!! I loved this guy. I truly truly loved him. He was the best friend that I never met but knew him forever.
I will never forget you my friend. Never. Your voice is forever in my heart and in my mind. I love you Joe....rest in peace my friend. Rest in peace.

Joe and I have had a lasting friendship for most of our lives. I will miss him and always cherish our experiences. I know he was proud of his children and grandchildren and kept a special place in his heart for his sisters. He had so much joy telling me about being "Car Pa". He always has been a part of my family. I will miss you my brother. God bless. Chuck
