Joe was a big part of our family. Almost everyday down here for his cup of coffee and treats to give to the dogs. Talking with him was always a trip and never boring. From golf carts to his Cadillac, golfing and his work on the railroad. We will miss it all. He was a breath of fresh air whenever he came. He would say "Color me gone!" when he would leave to go home. "I'll color you in, Joe!" We say and he would roll his eyes and smile. Our Condolences for the loss. He will be greatly missed!

I remember Mr. Ostyn as being kind, and there for anyone of the kids that needed a friend or someone to talk too. I had a hard time throughout my school years, and he was one person that was always kind. I´m sorry for your loss, but he is with his savior.

It has been a difficult month - the loss of Joe adds to that and reminds how much of a difference someone can make with their smile, kind words, and presence. Joe was that person. He was loved and such an asset to the school. He truly cared and gave of himself. He will be missed.

What a wonderful tribute. I always thought of Uncle Joe as the epitome of cool with his laugh, sense of humor and that huge blue Cadillac!
However I also remember him as a kind person that encouraged thoughtful conversation. My sincere sympathies go out Joe, Yvonne and Jason. May he Rest In Peace and may his memory live on.

Uncle Joe was one of the Good ones.
I will always remember his love of rock and roll and that besutiful Cadillac. Not once from the time he came in to the Smith Family did I not hear a chorus of Mitch Ryder's song Jenny take a ride along with a big hug. It has been a while since we last saw him. We moved out of state. Funny how life gets in the way sometimes. I know he is driving some big old Cadillac and playing old rock n roll up there in Heaven Now he is joined in that big from seat with Aunt Sharon by his side. Love and light to my Cousins and all friends and family who will sure be missing him.
