COLUMBUS--Joseph Powers, age 65, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022. He was born on July 14, 1957 to Edward and Evelyn (Polsin) Powers in Beaver Dam.
Joe enjoyed a long construction career, much of it with Findorff, where he largely focused on concrete work. Joe enjoyed the work and the genuine camaraderie on the construction crews.
In his free time, Joe enjoyed restoring and maintaining his collection of antique tractors and other antique farm equipment as well as going to auctions to discover and bid on rare tools to add to his expansive tool collection. Joe kept up with current events, making for enjoyable and engaging conversation about the economy.
Joe is survived by his mother Evelyn Powers of Columbus; brother Nicholas (Elizabeth) Powers of Urbana, IL; sisters Colette Powers, Sheila Powers (John) of Mendota Heights, MN; nephew William M. Powers; niece Katherine L. Powers; and other relatives and friends.
Joe is preceded in death by his father Edward Powers; brother Edward P. Powers; and two sisters-Bridget M. Powers and Pamela Powers.
Inurnment will be held at St. Columbkille Cemetery in Elba Township, Wisconsin.
