Joseph Roberts Obituary
Joseph Wayne Roberts, 57 of Kimberly Lane, Clearfield, Kentucky departed this life on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead, Kentucky.
He was born August 2, 1966 in Letcher County, Kentucky a son of the late Willie Joe Roberts and Lucinda Hensley Roberts.
Joseph was a graduate of Letcher County High School and was an employee of Kroger for over 16 years. He enjoyed Nascar, was an avid UK sports fan, baseball and other various sports and loved gospel music. He was of the Christian Faith and a member of the Sharkey Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Kim Roberts and his second wife Darlene Roberts.
Survivors include his two sons, Johnathan Roberts (Latosha) of Morehead and Brandon Roberts of Clearfield; two brothers, Richard Roberts of Pikeville, Kentucky and Jerald Roberts of Virigina; his fiance. Heather Wayman of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; one grandson, J.B. Roberts; and his Sharkey Baptist Church family.
Services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 30, 2023 at the Sharkey Baptist Church (2555 Sharkey Rd Morehead, KY 40351) with Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr. and Rev. Elijah Sexton officiating.
He will be laid to rest in the Brown Cemetery.
Visitation is after 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the church.
Casket Bearers will be Johnathan Roberts, T.J. Barber, Brandon Roberts, Adrian Fry, Brandon Pelfrey, and Brandon Fultz.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the funeral home to help the family offset funeral expenses.
The Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead is caring for all arrangements for Joseph Wayne Roberts and family.
