Joseph Lloyd Ross

Joseph Lloyd Ross, 76, of Witcher went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 19, 2011, at CAMC Memorial Hospital. He was born at Coco on June 8, 1935. Along with his parents, Ira and Mable Ross, he was also preceded in death by brothers, Lewie and Bobby Ray Ross; and sister, Carol Good. Joe was a laborer with 30 years of service for Raleigh Junk and was a member of Spring Fork Missionary Baptist Church, Campbells Creek. He leaves behind his loving wife of 39 years, Gloria Anne Letart Ross; daughter, Michelle (Kevin) Hodge of Raleigh County; brother, Fredrick Ross of Campbells Creek; sisters, Deloris Mantine of Campbells Creek, Naomi Kinser of Arcadia, Florida, Betty Holbrook of Campbells Creek, Gloria Bostic of Malden and Faye Harmon of Rand; grandchildren, Amber Whittington and Kevin Hodge III, both of Raleigh County, Ashley Whittington of Boone County, Aundrea Whittington and Diana Hodge, both of Kanawha County; and great-grandson, Caleb Pettry of Boone County. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2011, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with Pastor Mike Long officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family will accept donations c/o Mrs. Gloria A. Ross, 2235 Witcher Road, Belle, West Virginia 25015.
