Joseph Rutkowski Obituary
Born on June 10, 1929, in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Victoria and Casimir Rutkowski. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bette Jean Rutkowski, and his brothers, Raymond, Edmund, John, and Leo.
Joseph proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1948 to 1953 and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a graduate of the University of Baltimore and retired after 28 years of dedicated service with the Baltimore County Police Department. A lifelong athlete, Joseph was an avid runner and triathlete who completed his final race at the remarkable age of 88.
He is survived by his son, Joseph Rutkowski, Jr., and daughter-in-law, Debra, of Georgetown, SC; his grandson, Christopher Rutkowski, of Los Angeles, CA; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the many caregivers at Arbor Landing in Pawleys Island for their compassionate care.
