Lat words Granddaddy said to me were´ "Well Leilani; I´m real proud of you and I love you." Looking back; he was saying good bye. I´m glad I got to hear that. Now, if he´d just tell my mom that´d be alright by me.

He visited us in California when he was young in the navy with his brother Jim. They were our cousins.

I will always treasure the time I had with Granddaddy Joe, and regret the time I didn't. And I'll never forget the time he let me sit in the plane.
