Joseph Sciancalepore Obituary

Born in Hoboken to Pasquale and Grazia Sciancalepore, Joseph grew up in Weehawken. He married Judith Alpi in 1981 and the couple settled in Vernon 42 years ago. An avid handyman, Joseph was a Jack of all trades who worked on many projects around the house. He was a drummer who also loved boating, crabbing, and trains.
Joseph is lovingly survived by his wife, Judy; his son, Matthew; his brother, Louis; and his nieces and nephews, Justin, Drew, Gwen, and Amy. He was predeceased by his nephew, Michael.
Visiting hours will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 Wednesday, January 17 at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Thursday at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Joseph's memory to the Veterans Administration or the American Heart Association would be greatly appreciated by his family.
