Joseph Sequeiros Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Torbert Funeral Chapels on Jan. 5, 2026.
Joe Sequeiros passed away suddenly in Dover Delaware on December 31, 2025, at the age of 69.
Joe was born in Lima Peru on November 2, 1956, to Maria Collantes. He spent much of his life in Frederick Maryland and proudly became a United States Citizen in 1998.
He is survived by his mother Maria Collantes, beloved wife Laura, his daughter Debi and son-in-law Ian, his sister Maria Schatz and brother-in-law Jon, sister Rosa, sister Ada and brother-in-law Alan, his brother Manuel and his daughters Samantha, Jennifer and MaryAnn.
Joe retired from NRG formerly Pepco in Dickerson, Maryland, in 2018 after a successful career as a power plant technician. He was a proud member of the IBEW Union. After retiring, he moved to Delaware and pursued a part time position as a school bus driver for the Middletown school district assisting children with special needs.
He loved playing corn hole with "the guys" and won a trophy for getting 8 in. He loved long walks on the beach, swimming, riding his bike, dancing, spoiling his cat Chloe and watching old movies. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and his neighbors (buddies).
Joe was always known as such a good guy by everyone who knew him. He will be dearly missed by Philip and Donna Renieris, Peter Renieris, his nieces and nephews, Samantha, Philip, Alex and Philip Dominick, Michael Becker and all his relatives, friends and co-workers.
Funeral services will be held Monday January 19th, 2025, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 1145 East Lebanon Road, Dover, DE 19901. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 PM followed by a memorial service at 3:00.
