Joseph Sikora Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Higgins Memorial Home - Freehold on Mar. 12, 2025.
Joseph G. Sikora III passed away very unexpectedly on March 10, 2025, at the age of 33. Joe experienced 5 seizures over the past two years since January 2023, all but one occurring in his sleep. Despite hospital visits, medical evaluations, and changes to his treatment, the underlying cause remained undetermined.
Joe was born on March 29, 1991, at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ. As a baby, he lived in Hillsdale, NJ, before his family settled in Ridgefield Park, where he attended grammar school. Later, they moved to Millstone, NJ, where Joe graduated from Millstone Middle School. He briefly attended Allentown High School before graduating with honors from Prew Academy High School in Sarasota Florida.
During his young adult years, Joe faced a life-altering challenge when he was seriously injured in a car accident as a passenger. Over the course of a year and a half, he endured seven surgeries and a long road to recovery, demonstrating his resilience and determination.
Joe worked alongside his father part-time and spent summers sharing his passion for technology, teaching children about computers. His love for learning led him to pursue higher education at Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Throughout his life, Joe had a natural ability to form deep and lasting friendships, enriching the lives of many.
One of the greatest joys in Joe's life was his relationship with Aundrea Seigenthaler, his beloved life partner. Their bond was one of love, laughter, and unwavering support.
Joe is survived by his loving parents, Carol L. Sikora of Venice FL and Joseph G. Sikora Jr. of Ocean Grove NJ, as well as his devoted brother John McGowan Sikora and his wife Alesha Sikora. He is also deeply mourned by his grandmother Brenda Sikora and his great-uncle Dennis McGowan. He is cherished by his great-aunts Mary "Bunny" Breitenbach and Reggie Darcy and their husbands, Ray Breitenbach and Jon Darcy.
He is also survived by his aunts Patricia Roiz and Maria Vera, and their husbands Alex Roiz and Diego Vera along with his cousins Maria Roiz-Logan, Nicolas Roiz, Amanda Vera, Stephan Vera, Christopher Vera, and Jessica Vera. From his father's side, he is also mourned by his cousins Raymond Breitenbach, Richard Breitenbach, John Breitenbach, Jonathan Darcy, Stephan Darcy, and Janine O'Keeffe, and all of the Breitenbach, Darcy and O'Keeffe cousins all of whom loved him dearly.
Joe is also survived by his dear Friends • Millstone: Lee Rappleyea, Jeff Hills, Don Chin, Bernadette Miller, James Griffith, Larry Edwards and Mike Diguglielmo • Prew Academy: Nick Dell, Dillion Keefe, Clint Bailiff and Andrew Frederico. • Full Sail University: Ben Johnson, Angel Ayala, Joshua Currington, Fritz Olivier and Janel Lang. • His sister "from another Mother" Jamie Acevedo • His Ocean Grove Family Damaris Adamo, Christian Diliberto, Gabriella Diliberto, Samual Diliberto, Emanual Diliberto • As well as the throngs of Friend Family he has had through his life
Joe was a kind-hearted, fun-loving, and remarkable man who brought joy to all who knew him. His presence was a gift, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Love knows no bounds, and Joe will remain with us forever.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, NJ.
A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 10:30 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold, NJ, followed by a repast at Escondido's from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
Joe's light, laughter, and love will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, dear Joe.
