Joseph C. Simas Jr.

Our deepest condolences to the Simas family. We had the great pleasure to be neighbors for 29 years. Twenty three years ago Mr. Simas helped guide me to one of the best decisions in my life, becoming an educator. Many days leading up to my teaching career and countless times after, Mr. Simas would help me out or hear me out. He would always have some great insight or story to show me the way. Joe and Myrtle helped guide numerous people through their lives path, but I will be forever grateful for their guidance and chats along my path.

I came to know the Sima's family when I was s student at NBHS and was slated to have Mrs Simas as my algebra teacher -- but she left on maternity leave (I believe for Rebecca)). When l was hired as a media tech aide at Apponequet. Joe was assistant principal and then my principal when I succeeded Mrs Parker as the school's second media and school librarian. It was a rejoining with Myrtle as she took on computer acquisitions. Both were wonderful people and now that both of them have have passed these are good memories. RIP Mr Simas

I thank the family for given Us the privilege n honor to Give him the best of the best care services I can give, He caught all our hearts I'm forever grateful of knowing Joe Simas as we all called him "PAPA!!" My sincere condolences to the Simas family. When I started at ARHS, Joe was the Assistant Principal and soon became my "boss". We worked together until his retirement and always had a friendly courteous and successful relationship.
One of the most honest and supportive colleagues with whom I ever interacted.
May he rest in peace.
