Joseph Snider Obituary

Joseph Allan Snider, age 43, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on May 13, 1982, in Steubenville, Ohio, Joe grew up knowing exactly what he wanted from life. Even as a young boy, he dreamed of "building bigger" than his pap Ken - and of a girl named Dusti. Both dreams came true.

Joe began his career early, working for Turner Construction as a civil engineer while attending the University of Cincinnati. On December 29, 2007, he married his high school sweetheart, Dusti, and together they built a beautiful life anchored by love, laughter, and partnership. Their greatest joy came in welcoming their three daughters: Juliana (October 13, 2010), Brynley (May 15, 2012), and Penelope (May 18, 2015).

A proud and accomplished builder, Joe managed many meaningful projects throughout Cincinnati, including the Oyler School and Duke Energy Silverhawk Project. He later served as Manager of Turner's Special Projects Division. Joe culminated his career as a Project Executive, overseeing the $950 million Louisville VA Medical Center, work that reflected both his talent and his heart for service. Joe also devoted his time and expertise to several nonprofit boards, including Allied Construction Industries and the Ohio Valley Voices.

Joe's deepest passion was his family. He adored Dusti and cherished every moment with their girls. He shared with them the things he loved most - days on the water, snow skiing, hiking, and simply being outdoors together. Joe also had an adventurous love of food, delighting equally in hidden "dives," fine dining, or a good home-cooked meal.

Joe was a beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, friend, husband, and father. He is survived by his wife, Dusti; their daughters, Juliana, Brynley, and Penelope; his parents, Ronald and Dana Snider, Jr.; his brother, Michael; his Aunt Susan Cornish; his Uncle Kenneth Cornish Jr. (Debbie); his in-laws, Tim and Debbie Folger; his brother-in-law, Josh Folger (Sarah); his nieces, Talulah, Olive, and Olympia; and his cousins, Robyn Scott, Melinda Kaczmarek, Loren Cornish, and Eric Cornish.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ronald "Deak" and Rose Snider, Kenneth and Louise Cornish, and his aunt, Carole (Snider) Carducci.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 4:00–7:00 p.m., and again on Friday from 9:00–10:00 a.m., with a Celebration of Life immediately following at 10 a.m., all at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 US Hwy 42, Florence, KY 41042.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The James Cancer Multidisciplinary Head and Neck Cancer Fund, an organization working toward the breakthroughs Joe hoped for. https://giveto.osu.edu/makeagift/details/316444

Joe built structures, communities, and memories, but above all, he built a life filled with love. His legacy lives on in every person he touched and in the family he loved beyond measure.
