Joseph Stroz Obituary

Father, grandfather, brother, and Veteran, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on March 2, 1952, Joe was proud of his family, his country, and his community. Joe served in the U.S. Navy and, after his military service, remained active in the Polish Falcons, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), and the American Legion. Joe was a father to Christopher (Julie) Stroz; and a grandfather to Elizabeth and Andrea. He is survived by his brother, George Stroz. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Anne Stroz; his brother, Paul Stroz; and his sister, Carol Smith. He was a former spouse of Brenda Meeks Stroz and Verna (Filicko) Burkett. Joe was laid to rest at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, PA, on Thursday, May 22, 2025, and will be remembered for his spirit, his patriotism, and his love for his family.
