He was born on August 24, 1952, in Middletown, NY, to the late Francesca and Pietro Torre. Joe's life was a testament to the joy of simple pleasures, a life rich in laughter, and the unwavering dedication to his family.
Despite the challenges life presented, including the loss of his beloved parents, his sister Josephine Torre, his sister Maria Pinto, and his son Justyn Torre, Joe's resilience and warmth never wavered. His humor and affection brought light to every gathering, creating memories that his family will treasure forever.
Joe's life was filled with the joyous sounds of children's laughter and the thrill of watching baseball, a pastime that brought him great happiness. He was a pillar of strength and support for his daughters, Vanessa Lupo and her husband Scott, and Lindsey Sullivan and her husband Michael. His role as a grandfather to Sophia, Jackson, Carson, Harper, Holden, Dean, and Olivia was one he cherished deeply, always eager to share in their everyday stories and celebrate their milestones.
Joe is also survived by his brother Paul Torre, his wife Valerie and numerous nieces and nephews. His presence in their lives was a constant source of joy and companionship.

Visitation will be held on Monday April 28, 2025 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Applebee McPhillips funeral home in Middletown, NY. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's church in Middletown, NY on Tuesday April 29, 2025 at 11am. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's church. Family and friends are invited to attend.
