Naugatuck - Joseph J. Toth, 83, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at The Linden at Woodbridge. He was the husband of Lillian (Hornoff) Toth.
Mr. Toth was born November 19, 1939, in Hungary, the son of the late Jozef and Vilma (Forintos) Toth. Joseph began his studies in Budapest, Hungary. He brought his skills with him when he moved to the U.S. where he was a dedicated and hard-working man. He was a jack of all trades and a master of his. He worked for over 30 years and retired as a Tool and Die Maker at Cadi Co.
Besides his wife of 45 years, Mr. Toth is survived by his children Lorraine Pastore and her husband Chris, Ray Walsh and his wife Lynn, Scott Walsh, and his wife Dawn; his grandchildren Ryan, Tyler, and Dane Walsh and CJ Pastore; his great-grandchildren Raiden, Addy, and Kaleigh Walsh. He was never happier than when he was with his family. He is also survived by two sisters and two brothers in Hungary. In addition to his parents, Mr. Toth is predeceased by two of his sisters and a brother.
Joe loved being outside in his garden, pruning his apple trees, or tinkering in the yard. He was an avid hunter who loved the outdoors. Everyone knew he was a genuine Mr. Fix It. Even his grandchildren knew that, “Grandpa will fix it!”
Arrangements – Visitation for Mr. Toth will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2023, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. At 1 p.m. his funeral procession will depart the funeral home and proceed to Grove Cemetery for committal services.
