Had the pleasure of being a football teammate and frat brother of Joe at Wagner for four years. Joe was an outstanding athlete, but more impressive was what a great guy he was. Rest in peace my friend.....until we meet again.

My heart and prayers to the family. Joe & I went to high school together; he was very popular and athletic. I am so sorry that he has been taken so soon. May his beautiful dimpled smile remain close in your hearts. Rest peacefully Joe.

Sincerest Condolences to The Wainwright Family. Having just read the shocking news as the Funeral Service is about to begin ,I will not be able to attend. Joe was my friend since the mid seventies and my FDNY Brother since the eighties. May God Bless and Welcome You .

So sorry to hear this. He was my class mate back in PS 55. Never forget he ate an apple every day after his mom made lunch. Also friends with his sister Kathy. Good old Eltingville friends. Rest In Peace way to young.

There is too much to say about this man. Was a strong dominant figure but with a big heavy heart. He and his wife helped me and my family through our hardest times, they took me in on the rough nights and made sure I always able to attend baseball with their son under all the circumstances. He will be greatly missed by the Mindas family.

The loss of a love one is difficult. May the precious memories you have help you cope and bring you peace. 1 Thes. 4:14 can bring you some comfort knowing that there is a future for the ones we have lost in death can be reassuring. May the God of peace be with you and your family
