Joseph "Mike" Weir

Joseph "Mike" Weir 83 of Howard, OH, passed away on January 13, 2026 at the age of 83. He will be remembered as a man who loved the outdoors, especially camping, and who enjoyed shooting and collecting guns. These hobbies brought him a lot of joy throughout his life.
He was extremely proud of his service in the United States Navy. His time with the Seabees meant a great deal to him and he carried that pride with him always. One of his favorite things was taking long drives with his wife. Those quiet moments together on the road were some of the times he cherished most.
He is survived by his children Joseph (Sherri) Weir, Michelle (Jay) Peabody, and Hayley (Shawn) Eads; loving grand-pups & grandchildren(5) & great grandchildren(6); Siblings Catherine (Ken) McBride and Francis (Maxine) Weir; Sister-in-Law Linda Gable; many nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded into death by his Wife Sandra Weir( Weber); Daughter Heather Mack; Granddaughter Jessica Bala; Parents Bernard & Catherine Weir; Brothers Lawrence, Bernie and Jack Weir.
The wake will be held at The McGorrary-Hanna Funeral Home of Westlake: 25620 Center Ridge Road (west of Columbia Road). Friday, January 16,2026 10:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. with a graveside service at Holy Cross.
