Joseph Andrew Wilson, 75, Passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Donald Apple officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home on Monday, April 24 and other times at the home.
Joe was born in Rockingham County to the late Joseph Andrew Wilson Sr. and Mary Lucille Walker. He retired from Miller Coors after 30 years of service. He loved cruising with family and friends and fishing. Joe was always willing to help those in need. He would give you the shirt off his back. Most of all he loved his family especially the grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Magdalene Apple, Starr McKinney and brother, Douglas Wilson.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Betty Langley Wilson; children, Joseph “Craig” Wilson (Angie) and Cristie Wilson Patterson (Paul); grandchildren, Brittany Wilson (Jeremy), Joey Patterson, Tiffany Wilson (Taylor), Kristen Tranbarger (Nick), Alston Wilson (Lily); great grandchildren, Kyleigh, Mila and a third great grandchild on the way as well as a large and loving group of extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the N.C. American Cancer Society at 4140 Parklake Ave Suite 515, Raleigh NC 27612
