He is survived by his daughter, Cara Wilson Mayrose of Terre Haute, and granddaughter, Carly Joanna Mayrose of Carmel, who brought him endless pride and joy, as well as his sister-in-law, Violet Floyd, and several nieces and nephews.
Joe worked for Ralph Rogers Company for many years and later during retirement he operated a landscaping business and cherished his customers and community. He found happiness mowing on his John Deere, taking drives around town, and spending time at his Lake Monroe property.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m., followed by the funeral service at Allen Funeral Home (4155 S. Old State Road 37, Bloomington, IN 47401). Interment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
