Joseph Medley "Josh" Wilson, age 44, passed away Friday, November 7, 2025, at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven, MS.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS. The family will be receiving friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 P.M.
Josh was born on August 16, 1981, in Panola County, Mississippi, to Joe Wilson and Sandy Jenkins Harrison.
Josh dedicated his life to his work as a landscaper, where he found joy in creating beautiful outdoor spaces. He had a natural talent for tinkering and working on anything that piqued his interest. His passion for life extended beyond his profession; he was a big fan of LSU Football and cherished the moments spent cheering for his team.
Family was at the core of Josh’s existence. He adored his daughter, Presleigh, and was a loving partner to his wife, Makayla Wilson. His bond with his family extended to his parents, Joe Wilson and Sandy Harrison (Jeff), and he shared a special connection with his sister, Jennifer Boothe (BB), and his nephew, Dylan Harrison.
Josh’s enthusiasm for music also played an important role in his life, allowing him to find solace and joy in melodies that resonated with him. His vibrant personality and passionate interests will be remembered fondly by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
