Joseph Zaccagnini Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jul. 22, 2025.
Joseph M. Zaccagnini, 65, passed peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on 7/19/2025.
Joseph was born on 2/12/1960, to the Late Joseph Richard and surviving Mother Helen Zaccagnini Chebatoris.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Eileen; Daughters Candace Lynn-(Jeremy), and Kristen McGraw-(John- JJ); Grandson Cashel, and Granddaughter Collins.
Joe is also survived by his sister Linda-(Tom), Brother Jimmy- (Jane), and preceded in death his sister Diana Mroz- (Mark). Nieces Angela and Nicole, and Nephew Michael. Eileen's Children Evan and Paige.
Joe was a long-time employee of the Federal Reserve Bank in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, and Member of Local #95. Joe was a dire hard Pittsburgh Sports fan, you could catch him any given Sunday watching the Steelers. He enjoyed Spring Training during retirement in Bradenton Florida, watching the Pirates. Joe was the life of the party, he would bring an entire room to laughter, his laugh was that infectious. Daily practice in Florida consisted of beach excursions with wife Eileen and he would be seen regularly at the gulf beaches searching for shark teeth. He became a season pass holder at Universal and Disney and yes he enjoyed every minute of that time with family. He was so proud to say he was a grandpa and illness stole his ability to be more active in their lives.
Joe courageously fought a long-term battle with Diabetes and eventually renal failure, gracing each day with courage and hope for a brighter tomorrow.
Joe will be missed Immensely by many especially his close friends Merv, Steven, and Jerry. Please remember Joe by raising a glass and remembering a life well lived.

Aunt Helen. Linda and Jimmy
I have a lot of really fun memories of cousin Joey. Mostly during our youth, and it seemed we were always up to something, always trying to avoid the "grown ups". Joe's giggle was infectious, and that's how I'll remember him, laughing.
With our love and sympathy to all, Mary Kay and Joe Verna
