Carol and Steve, you catered my Mom and Dad's 50th wedding anniversary dinner in their condo in 1994. An event we cherish in our hearts forever. They lost their son (William Sabanos, Jr) in 1996. My mom always said, You never get over it; you get through it. My parents are now with my brother and I KNOW they are with your son watching over him until we are all United once again with them in Heaven. Please take heart that your son is where we all hope to be one day. God is good and He will get you through. Footprints in the sand. Our thoughts, prayers and hope are with you now and forever. Mary (Sabanos) and Larry Davis

Carol and Steve, The Zelinski and Cantlon family, we want you to know your children are our children. We fell your pain and your sorrow. We have have seen the Zelinski ,Cantlon children grow from little ones to wonderful young men and women. We know some children better than others, we still get all their names mixed up. That will go on for ever. We have gotten to know Joey better from all the great stories that were told about him. What a wonderful person he is. We know a couple of things for sure about all the Zelinski,Cantlon children and that is ,they love their family and care for their family, they love and care for others. When growing up I looked to my elders to inspire and motivate me. Being a elder now I think a lot about a particular pharse (been there ,done that). There is a lot of truth to that. Life can be boring, life can be stagnant, life can get repetative. When a tragedy like this happens life can be unbearable. I now look for people or groups of people to inspire and motivate me to get up and live the next day and the next day after that. Today after listening to all the young men and women talk about Joey and listening to all the Zelinski and Cantlon young men and women. These young men and women and Joey's legacy will inspire and motivate me to get up and live my life. Carol and Steve the Zelinski and Cantlon family, the Servite classmates will be there for you where ever and when ever you need us. Love you guy's

I will miss Joey and I treasure the time we had together at our DiMaggio family reunion. We discussed his current job and his plans for the future. So promising. As a little boy he was so shy, but he developed into a quiet, strong and caring adult. My heart breaks for Carol, Steve, Tommy and Jake, and for all who knew and loved him.

Dear Joey,
I watched you grow up, albeit from a distance. In my eyes you went from a rather quiet and shy boy to a confident, outgoing, and articulate young man. At my last encounter with you at a family gathering, I observed that you were poised to take on the world and I knew that you be a success, not only as the good human being that you always were, but also someone who would achieve remarkable things.
But now you are inexplicably gone, taken by an accident that had no meaning and left us all devastated. We mourn being unable to be in your physical presence any longer, though the memories of you will be long-lasting and bittersweet. We also mourn the loss of a future in which you would have triumphed.
We pray that your spirit will guide and protect us until we meet again.
Love,
Cousin Mark Vermilion
