It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph Zerilli, beloved father, who left us peacefully on October 28, 2024, at the age of 88.
Born in Terrasini, Sicily, Joseph immigrated to the United States with dreams of building a better life. A master carpenter, he had a remarkable talent for transforming raw materials into beautiful, lasting structures. His hands shaped not only wood but also the foundation of our family, teaching us the values of hard work, dedication, and creativity.
Joseph was predeceased by his devoted wife, Joan, with whom he shared over 52 wonderful years of love and partnership. Together, they created a warm and nurturing home filled with laughter and rich traditions. Joseph was a proud father to his three sons-Salvatore (Julie), Albert (Joanne) and Leo (Sabrina) and a cherished Papa to his seven granddaughters (his Dollie's) Taylor, Alyssa, Gianna, Olivia, Marisa, Rosalia and Sophia, He instilled in all of us a strong work ethic, a love for our Italian heritage, and the importance of family.
His legacy is one of growth and resilience. Joseph took pride in every project, reminding us that with attention to detail and care, anything can be built. His fortitude and guidance will echo in our hearts, and his spirit will inspire us to build our own dreams.
Visitation on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 3-9 pm at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc. (36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile). Funeral on Saturday, November 2, 2024, instate 12:30 pm at St. Peter Catholic Church 95 Market St. (downtown Mt. Clemens) with mass starting at 1:00 pm. Private Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
Rest in peace, dear father. Your love and lessons will remain in our hearts forever.
