Josephine (Leo) Bihary, age 94, a lifelong resident of Mount Washington, on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 left this life peacefully at home surrounded by family to journey to her eternal home to be reunited with her beloved husband of 51 years, Michael Bihary Jr. in heaven. Josephine is survived by her six loving children, Bonnie, Michael W. (Jan), Deborah, Barbara Powers (James), Bruce (Connie) and Karen. Cherished Nana of four grandchildren, Michael W. Jr. (Melissa), Michelle Epley (Steve), Sam (Adrienne) and Stephanie (Nick Frankos). She is also the proud and loving Great Nana of Alexis Bihary, Reed and Abby Epley. Human Nana for several four legged Grand and Great Grand Dogs and Cats. Family friend and adopted daughter, Susan Reiner. Preceded in death by her parents, Salvatore and Teresa (Ferraro) Leo and sisters Serafina and Esther Gionta. Also survived by two sisters in law and one brother in law and many nieces and nephews. Josephine was a wonderful mother who gave all to her children and asked for nothing in return. She was a kind, gentle and loving soul with a heart of gold and love for all. She will especially be greatly missed by her children, grand and great grandchildren and all those who knew and loved her. Family and friends welcome Friday, September 27, 2024 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm WM. SLATER & SONS INC. (412-381-3345) 301 Virginia Ave. Mount Washington 15211 where a funeral service will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 10:00 am. Burial to follow at Jefferson Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association. www.slaterfuneral.com
