Josephine "Josie" Cohen

Josephine Irving Cohen was born on August 10, 1972, to William Roberts and Millie Irving.
Josephine attended the Garfield Public School System and graduated from Garfield High School. She was lively and quick witted, excelling in every subject. As a result, she was able to graduate high school earlier than expected class of 1990.
In 2009, Josephine met and married Teddarius Cohen. The two were united in holy matrimony until her untimely passing.
Josephine affectionately known as "Josie" by family and friends, was a generous, sincere and funny person who was full of life and laughter. She lived her life unapologetically in her own unique way. Josie lived to the beat of her own drum.
She will be remembered for her strong will to live despite what she endured physically, witty sense of humor, fun loving nature, and her undying love for the people she called family. Josephine was always the life of the party. She had the sharpest tongue and would give you the shirt off her back if needed. No matter what she did, or where she went in life she always trusted and believed in God.
Josephine departed this life peacefully, surrounded by her family on March 20, 2023, at St. Joseph's University Medical Center in Paterson, NJ.
She was preceded in death by 2 sons; Rodney R. Mouzone and Christopher Hiller, her father; William Roberts, brother; Robert Irving, and honorary parents; Isaac and Josephine Thomas.
Josephine leaves precious memories to her husband Teddarius Cohen of Alabama, 2 daughters; Brittany Irving and Ronaisha Mouzone both of Paterson, NJ, 1 son; Rodney L. Mouzone of Missouri, 2 grandchildren; Davion and Ka'mya Mims both of Paterson, NJ, mother; Millie Irving, of Passaic, NJ, brothers; Larry Irving of Ohio, Darren McMillan of New Jersey, Steven Sparrow of Orlando, FL, William Goodwin and Degron Mann, both of New Jersey, sisters; Ashley Thomas of Paterson, NJ, Felicia Grace of Georgia, Tykisha Brinson of Atlanta, GA, Nykeya Levister of New Jersey, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to cherish her memory.
