Josephine Joan Jeffries

Funeral services for Josephine Joan Jeffries, 88, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Monday, January 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with David Jeffries officiating. Interment will follow at Peebels Cemetery in Livingston. Visitation will be held on the day of service, from 10:00-11:00 a.m., at the funeral home.

Josephine passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025. She was predeceased by her husband, Philip Jeffries. She is survived by four children, Philip Jeffries Jr. (Irene deceased), James Jeffries (Peg), David Jeffries (Deborah) and Maryann Cove (Bill). She is also survived by brothers David (Jackie) and Kenneth (Rosemarie deceased), and sister Marlene and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also predeceased by sisters Mary Ellen, Maxine and Ruth Jean.

She attended Hanford High School in Hanford, CA and graduated from the College of the Sequoias, Visalia, CA in 1958. She worked with her husband in his commercial painting and wallpapering business, and then worked and retired from the U.S. postal service.

She was a life member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary of Trinity,TX. and she was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She took great pride in entering and judging numerous baking events.

She will be missed by all who loved and knew her!
