Josephine M. Josie Petitto

Mrs. Josephine M. "Josie" (Carcerano) Petitto, age 84, of Peabody, formerly of Campbell Street, Lynn, died Sunday March 27, 2011, at the JRC, Swampscott, after a brief illness. Born and raised in the North End of Boston, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (Corvo) Carcerano. She attended Boston Schools and had lived in Lynn for 30 years prior to moving to Peabody 10 years ago. Josie enjoyed calligraphy. She is survived by 2 sons Rocco Petitto and Philip Petitto and his wife Deborah, all of Peabody, a sister Frances Frate, of Medford, 4 grandchildren Mason and Nicholas Petitto, and Tiffany and William Walker, all of Peabody, her former husband Philip Petitto, of Saugus, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Louis, Salvatore, and Joseph "Nana" Carcerano, and Madeline Colvario. Her Funeral will be held on Friday at 9:30am from the SOLIMINE LANDERGAN AND RICHARDSON FUNERAL HOME 426 BROADWAY (RTE129), LYNN followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30am in St. Pius V Church. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hour's Thursday 4-8PM. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
