Josephine Quiles (nee Villanueva) also know as "Josie" passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on Tuesday May 27, 2025 in San Antonio, Texas.
Josie was born in San Antonio to Jose Villanueva and Victoria Trinidad on November 4, 1946. She went to Poe Middle School and then received her GED. She later achieved many certifications and licenses including becoming a Certified Dental Assistant, a Licensed Insurance Agent, getting a CDL and owning a Trucking Company winning City of Chicago snow plowing contracts. Later in life she became a Certified Home Health Aide and Caretaker to the elderly, which was her most fulfilling profession.
Josie liked to shop, sing, dance, travel and enjoyed visiting new places. But what was most important to her, was spending time with all her family.
Josephine is survived by her Children: Valerie, Jeanette, Vicky, David L., Salvador Jr., and her baby David A. Grandkids: Raul, Deanna, Daniel, Robert, Vanessa, Joseph, Justin, Ricky, Alyssa, Addison, and Lucas. Great Grandkids: Victoria, Luke, Rowslynn, Steven, Jillian, Cameron, and Cleo.
Her Siblings: Angelita and Pete. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Armando. Siblings: David, Martha, Maria, Pedro, Joe, and Gloria. Her Grandparents who raised her: Felipe and Elisa Trinidad. Her Parents: Victoria Martinez and Jose Villanueva.
Visitation will be 5-8pm at: Dellcrest Funeral Home 2023 S. WW White Rd. San Antonio, Texas, 78222.
Funeral Service will be 11am at: Mission Park 1700 SE Military Dr. San Antonio, Texas 78214.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her honor to The Dementia Society. www.dementiasociety.org
