Dear Sean, Megan, Pat and Pam, Jackson and Maxwell and all in the Alexander line. I am heartbroken for the loss of our beloved Jo. She was my best friend at St. Patrick Academy, and we often sat in the locker room after school writing fangirl short stories for our small circle of friends. We stayed in touch during her early motherhood years (Sean, I was the one who made your baby quilt). Even though we would lose touch and reconnect over the next decades, when we saw or talked, it was as though no time had passed at all. You already know this, but she was a great joy in everyone's life, funny, smart, determined, and compassionate. Her birthday each year brought me great happiness and hope, as the date was usually one of the first days there would still be daylight at 5:00pm and a sign that winter was passing. She will still be that welcome light. Prayers and blessings for you.
