Josephine E. Wilson

Josephine Elaine Wilson, 93, of Owatonna, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at her home.

She was born December 4, 1932, in Madison, South Dakota, the daughter of Paul and Hilda (Beyer) Klamm. Jo grew up in Meridan and graduated from Owatonna High School in 1950. On May 24, 1952, she was united in marriage to Laverne Raymond Wilson at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Meriden. The couple were blessed with three children, Randy, Lynn, and Thomas. The family lived in several places before Laverne retired from the United States Air Force, settling in Huntington Beach California, before moving to Owatonna in 1977.

Josephine worked various government jobs while Laverne was in the service, and when the family moved to Owatonna, she worked at Cybex. She was a longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church, and she loved singing in the choir. Jo loved to read and put together puzzles. She would also knit and crochet, making an Afghan and sewed on patches for her sons and grandchildren’s clothes

She is survived by her children Randy (Wendy Lorentzen) Wilson of Kasson, Lynn Wilson of Owatonna and Tom Wilson of Owatonna; grandchildren, Ben (Brittney) Wilson, Mike (Danielle) Wilson, Nicole (Jessie) Wise; great grandchildren Jenesis, Jaida, Anthony, Audry, Jessie, Owen, Evan, Jaxson, Lucy, and Nacia Star.

Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Laverne; parents, granddaughter, Nacia Marie Wilson; and brother, Robert Klamm.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 11AM at Michaelson Funeral Home, with a visitation starting at 10AM until the start of the service. Interment will be in the Steele Center Cemetery.
