Joshiwa Parkey Obituary

Joshiwa Parkey, lovingly known as "Josh," age 51, passed away peacefully at his home on October 12, 2025.

Born on November 19, 1973, Josh was the son of the late Gary Parkey and the late Marian Dyal. He was a talented carpenter who had a gift for building and repairing anything he put his hands on. He took great pride in his work and found joy in creating and restoring for others.

Though naturally shy, Josh had a wonderful sense of humor and loved making others laugh through the funny videos he enjoyed creating. He had a deep belief in the Lord and lived his life with faith and kindness. Josh was also passionate about collecting-especially antiques, coins, and anything related to Superman, a character he admired and embraced as part of who he was.

Josh leaves behind his loving wife, Lisa Parkey, his daughter Ansley Parkey, and his stepchildren Deana Nuckles, Samantha Woods, and Donald Nuckles. He is also survived by his siblings Melody Parkey and Jacob Parkey. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Zachary Caldwell, Marcella Tortorice, Nyha Nuckles, Isabella Wood, Aubri Woods, and Eleana Woods. His love for his family will continue to shine brightly through each of them.

Josh will forever be remembered as "Superman the Hood Thang," a nickname that brought smiles to so many who knew and loved him.

A memorial service to honor Josh's life will be held on October 30, 2025 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church.

Prov. 3:5 " Trust In the Lord with all your heart".
