Joshua Wayne Bennett

Joshua Wayne Bennett, age 39, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in Indianapolis on December 23, 1985, to Terry Lee and Karen (Rush) Bennett. He graduated from New Palestine High School in 2004. He married Adrienne (Birch) on October 3, 2015.

Josh built a career in sales and was very talented. His journey led him many places, but most recently in HVAC at Hope Plumbing, where he built strong relationships through his dedication and charm. He had a wide range of hobbies and poured himself fully into each one-whether it was restoring his beloved Mustang, gunsmithing, or golfing. Josh never did anything halfway; he strived to be the best at whatever he pursued.

Nature was his sanctuary, and whether on the hiking trail or at the campsite, Josh found joy in the outdoors and in the company of his wife, Adrienne and their two loyal dogs, Kimber and Maverick.

Josh's passing came far too soon, yet even in death, his generosity endured-through the selfless gift of organ donation, Josh gave others a second chance at life, a final act of compassion that reflects the way he lived: with purpose, heart, and a desire to help others.

He is survived by his mother, Karen Bennett; wife, Adrienne Bennett; He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Bennett.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 7:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
