I have known Miss Marie and her family since I was 8 or 9 years of age when her family and mine lived in Florida in the 1970s. Later on, she and her family were very kind to me when I attended college in Nashville. I admired her in so many ways. I know she was very close to her late husband, the Reverend Troy Slay, and adored their two daughters, Stacey and Monica. The time I spent with this wonderful lady and her family is something I will never forget. Sing with the angels, Miss Marie.

I don´t think I have ever met such a kind, happy woman. Marie always had a smile and kind word to offer. Her love for her husband, Stacie and Monica was ever present. Thoughts and prayers are with you Stacie and your entire family.
Love, Viv
