On March 16, 2014 your life and mine were forever changed. Your loss became mine when on a early Sunday morning I found myself sitting with a young man I had never met before praying and trying to offer words of comfort. It was my strong belief in God and faith that found me on that stretch of road stopping to offer my help to a stranger. I have cried and grieved for your son and brother as I know that you have. It was only recently when I could not bare the heaviness in my heart that I spoke to someone that said to me that even though this young mans life was cut short be comforted in the knowledge that he was not alone and that his last contact was one offered in warmth and love. As each day goes by I remember your son. His face is enblazoned in my mind forever. I truly believe he is an angel now watching over you and your family. I am sorry for your loss and hope that as time goes on your pain will lessen and that knowing he was not alone will bring you some peace. No bond is as great as that between a parent and child. My deepest condolences are with you as you grieve.

God understands the pain of a loved one passing away. But , we must be strong. He tells us that in Joshua 1:9, he also says that because he is with us. How amazing is it to have the strongest person in the entire universe by our side, especially during times like these.

He was loving, kind, talented and always a joy to be around. The world has lost one of the great ones. We love you all and please know that our love and prayers go with Josh and are with you all.

There's so much that should be said at this time but no words seem adequate.

RIP Joshua Deacon! You were by far one of the nicest kids ever in high school. I know we weren't ever close friends. This is still a terrible tragedy. Sending your family loving thoughts and prayers. Fly high angel.

My son, Michael, had the pleasure of sharing a home with Josh for the past three years. He considered him a brother and his best friend. They shared a love for music and spent many hours at Mike's studio in Rockland jamming with friends. He will leave a hole in Mike's life that will be impossible to fill. Thank you for sharing your son with mine. Our very deepest condolences and sympathy go out to you. We will keep you in our prayers.
