Joshua Dean Derrick, 33 years of age, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024.
Josh was born January 15,1991 to Charles Derrick and Janet Whorton. He was the
youngest of three sons. He graduated from Daingerfield High School and Northeast Texas
Community College through the Carroll Shelby Automotive Program.
Joshua married the love of his life, his soul-mate, Kathy on June 1, 2008. He committed
his life to Christ as a child and was a dedicated servant of Christ not only in his church, but also
his community and family.
Josh loved to study and discuss God's word. He loved guiding and encouraging his
children. He loved praying for and with others. He loved spending time with family and friends.
He was dedicated to career as a master mechanic, working at Industrial Power as an awarded
Service Manager where he loved supporting and encouraging his coworkers.
Joshua was preceded in death by his oldest brother, Charles David (Chad) Derrick, his
loving maternal granddad, Roy Eaton III, paternal grandparents Harold and Patricia Derrick,
maternal grandfather, Bobby Cook, uncles David Cook, Brian Derrick, Bobby Derrick, cousins
Lori Derrick, Whitney Derrick, and Cole Derrick.
Joshua leaves to cherish his amazing memory wife, Kathy Derrick of 16 years. His sons,
Chad (16), Hunter Dean (8). His Daughters Chloe (15), Allie (10), Hannah (7). His Momma,
Janet Whorton and Husband, Danny. His father Charles Derrick. His grandmother, Shirley
Eaton, mother-in-law, Terry Darlin, grandmother-in-law, Dorothy McCreight. His brother Jeffery
Derrick, wife Erin, nephew Bradyn, niece Madisyn. Sister Katie, niece Serenity. Sister Carlee,
brother Owen. His loving church family, a host of family and friends
