Joshua R. Ellis, 40, of Windsor, NY entered into rest on July 15, 2024, due to complications from diabetes. He is survived by his children, Hunter Ellis and Lincoln Ellis; his mother, Loretta (Jim) Bishop; his father, Darl Ellis; his companion, Kimberly Seamans; siblings, James Bishop Jr (Whitney Thurston), Thomas (Kerry) Gallagher, Steven (Tina) Gill, Danielle Ellis, Deanna Ellis, Chris Ellis, Darl Ellis Jr.; cousins, including Keith Beach; aunts and uncles, including Glen Robinson; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Everett "Poppy" and Loretta Clapper; and the mother of Hunter, Michelle Lewis.
Josh was a graduate of Blue Ridge High School in 2002. He began working in stone quarries. Josh was an avid fan of dirt track racing, which lead him to working for Penn Cann Speedway. He enjoyed drawing and going to the races. He was a fan of the NY Giants, watching football, especially when his son was playing. Josh cared for the needs of others more than his own needs. He had a way of making people smile and laugh. Josh loved his two sons dearly.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc. Hallstead, PA. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. prior to the service. In his honor, please take your family to a race at Penn Cann Speedway or to a Windsor Knights Football game.
