Joshua John Parker ~April 26, 1984 - July 6, 2025
Lieutenant Colonel Joshua "Clobber" Parker, 41, of Enid, Oklahoma, passed away on July 6, 2025. Born on April 26, 1984, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana, Josh lived a life marked by service, adventure, and deep love for his family and faith.
A 2006 graduate of Purdue University, Josh earned a degree in Aviation Technology and went on to serve his country with distinction as a pilot in the United States Air Force. He flew the B-1 Bomber and attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force Reserves under the call sign Clobber, where he shared his expertise as a T-6 training pilot. While serving, Josh also continued his academic pursuits, earning a degree in Political Science from American Military University, Class of 2012-an accomplishment that reflected his deep commitment to both learning and leadership.
Following his retirement from the Air Force, Josh had planned to begin a new chapter as a commercial pilot for United Airlines, continuing his lifelong passion for flight.
Josh had an insatiable love for travel and a deep appreciation for new experiences. He made it a priority to explore the world with his family, creating memories through trips to exotic destinations. At home, he was a devoted and hands-on father-whether organizing pool parties, off-roading go kart adventures, or cheering his children on at their events, Josh was always there with enthusiasm, encouragement, and love.
A gifted musician, Josh was a drummer who used his talents to serve in multiple worship bands at church. A devout Christian, he lived out his faith with quiet strength and unwavering integrity, modeling Christ's love in his daily life.
Josh is survived by his loving wife Teara, daughter Cora, and son Luke. He is also survived by his mother, Patricia Parker Allen (Bart); sister, Heather VanWagner (John); and brother, Matthew Parker (Kelly).
He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, kind heart, steady presence, and the joy he brought to every room he entered. Josh leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and service that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Josh's spirit by setting aside funds for a good adventure. Take a trip, explore someplace new, or simply share a meaningful experience with the people you love. Josh believed life was meant to be lived fully. Go make a memory in his honor. Please share those memories on social media with the hashtag #Clobbertheworld, a mesh of his military call sign and love for seeing the world.
