Joshua James Rosiere

Joshua James Rosiere, 43, of Austin, Texas passed away surrounded by his loving family, Wednesday June 5th, 2024. Josh was born January 1st, 1981 in Joplin, Missouri to Danny Rosiere and Jody Grubbs. He was an entertainer from the very moment he entered the world…1st new years’ baby and even made the news! Josh was one of three brothers and the baby of the family. As any baby brother, Josh endured the many pranks and wrestling torture from his older brothers, Brandon and Jason. He was always the smallest but ended up having the last laugh as he grew to be the tallest of the 3 brothers. Joshua grew up and attended school in Oologah, Oklahoma. During this time Josh, played basketball, baseball, and football. Rosie #7, was a part of the back-to-back 97-98 3A Football State Championship teams. He not only enjoyed sports, but developed a love for music during his high school years. He taught himself to play guitar and loved to spend time with friends playing music. Josh was adventurous and always up to go anywhere or do any activity. He was a natural slalom water skier, hit the black diamonds on the ski slopes, and even skateboarded some when he moved to California later in life.

After high school, he went to play football at Bacone College for a short time. He would eventually make the decision to follow in his Father’s footsteps to become an Aviation Maintenance Technician. He received his A&P license from Tulsa Tech and went to work for American Airlines. After the 09/11 tragedy while the airlines struggled, he joined the United States Air Force. He served honorably from 2005-2008. Josh was stationed in England and was a veteran of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Josh would return to work for American Airlines as Aviation Maintenance technician where he excelled as he found his true passion. This job would take him from Tulsa, Oklahoma to Fort Worth, Texas to Los Angeles, California, to San Antonio and eventually settled in Austin, Texas. He made memories and lifelong friends every step of his life journey.

Josh was an infectious person that could light up any room with a hilarious one liner or by breaking out into dance. He had the best Carlton, hands down. His captivating personality and good looks probably got him out of a lot of trouble. He loved sugar cookies and was lovingly called Uncle Sugar Cookie every Christmas season. He is the reigning champion of Saved by the Bell trivia!

Joshua is preceded in death by his grandparents, Glen and Irene Rosiere, Delbert and Maxine Elkins, and step-father Brett Grubbs. He is survived by his wife, Maria and her sons Nico and Elijah, Father, Danny Rosiere, Mother, Jody Grubbs, Brother Brandon Rosiere and wife Natalie, Brother Jason Rosiere and wife Shannon, Step-Brother Josh Grubbs, Step-sister Shannon Raburn, his two favorite nieces Addison and Ava Rosiere, and nephews Brantly and Evan Rosiere, Taylor and Wyatt Young.

Funeral Services will be held at All Faiths Funeral Home on June 23rd at 2:00pm. Viewing will be 1:00-6:00pm.
