Joshua Lee Stanley, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on January 27, 2024, in
Mason City, Iowa, at the age of 43. He was born on October 17, 1980, in Mason City, to Terry and Cindy Stanley.
Joshua attended Nora Springs Rock Falls High School, where he gained a strong foundation for his future endeavors. After high school, he began working in construction, showcasing his dedication and strong work ethic. He later joined Deveron, where he worked for many years with soil sampling, and most recently, he began a career at Winnebago Industries in Forest City.
He was united in marriage to Jaime Peterson, after being reintroduced to one another through a mutual friend.
In his younger years, he enjoyed the thrill of snowmobiling and embraced the beauty of the great outdoors. He found immense joy in supporting Quentin and Kinnick's hockey teams. Joshua's love for his family and friends was reflected in the countless gatherings where they shared laughter, good food, and unforgettable memories.
Joshua will always be remembered for his kindhearted nature and willingness to help others in their time of need. He was a hard worker who approached life with determination and integrity.
In honor of Joshua's memory, memorial contributions may be made to his family, in lieu of flowers.
A Celebration of Joshua's Life will be held on February 2, 2024, at the Rock Falls Lounge, 3 Mill St., Rock Falls from 4-6 PM.
Joshua Lee Stanley will forever be remembered as a loving husband, a devoted father, a loyal son, a caring brother, and a true friend. He leaves behind a legacy of love and will forever be cherished in the hearts of his family and friends.
Joshua was preceded in death by his mother, Cindy Stanley, and his grandparents.
Joshua is survived by his wife, Jaime Stanley; his children, Shaylynn, Taryn, and Gaven; Jaime's children, Shaylyn Bantz, Quentin and Kinnick Peterson, whom he loved as his own; his father, Terry Stanley; father and mother in law, Jeff and Jo Bantz; as well as his sister, Jamie (Mike) Jensen, and his nieces and nephews, Zach Schmidt (Emily), Dylan Jensen, Reawna Jensen, and Isabel Jensen; and his aunts and uncles.
