Joshua Wayne Weston, 38, of Memphis, Indiana, entered eternity on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana after his 18 month battle with cancer. Born in Salem, Indiana, on June 21, 1986, Josh was the beloved son of Daniel and Melissa Weston.
A dedicated and hardworking man, Josh worked at the Clarksville, Indiana Wal-Mart for over 13 years, building strong relationships with both coworkers and customers. More recently, he was employed at Pepsi in Sellersburg, Indiana, where he continued his tradition of hard work and loyalty.
Josh was passionate about sports, both as a fan and as an avid golfer. He enjoyed spending time on the golf course, perfecting his game. He was a devoted follower and part owner of the Green Bay Packers. Josh was also a University of Kentucky Wildcats, and Atlanta Braves fan. He was always cheering for his favorite teams with enthusiasm. Josh was a devout family man. He loved doing anything that involved his children. Josh and his children could always be found playing Nintendo Switch, board games, watching movies and going to Walt Disney World.
Josh was preceded in death by his unborn child, "Peanut", by his grandmothers, Jean Weston and Wanda Wynn and by his brother-in-law, Levi Mellen.
Survivors include his loving wife, Heather Weston, his sons, Brycen Weston, Parker Weston, his daughter, Cassie Weston, his parents, Daniel and Melissa Weston, his sister, Heather Twigg (Byran), his father-in-law, Charles Whitten, his mother-in-law, Michelle Thompson, his brothers-in-law, Luke Whitten (Noel), Charlie Whitten, Jake Matthews, his sister-in-law Stacie Chapman (Rob Coomer) and his nieces and nephews, Mallory, Savannah and Logan Twigg, Whitley Whitten, Emmett Matthews, Kailynn Chapman, Nate Berryman, Shyla Coomer and Maddie Mellen.
Cremation was chosen to honor Joshua's wishes. A Celebration of life will be held from 12:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, October 18, 2024 at the Carr Township Community building (8402 IN-111, Memphis, IN 47143).
