Mrs. Morgan led a storied life having been born in La Habana in Havanna, Cuba on July 9, 1943 to the late Julio Herrera and Josefa Hernadez Herrea.
Two Tampa, Florida children preceded her in death, Juantia Olivero and Frankie Olivero.
At the age of 12 in 1955 she immigrated to the United States to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she resided until relocating with her family to Tampa, Florida.
On June 22, 1983 she relocated to Tennessee with her family and with her future husband whom she met in Tampa in 1979.

Also, during her career she was a certified nurse assistant and was employed both at the former Carthage General Hospital and at the former Smith County Health Care. She also worked as a caregiver to many in the community.
One of the highlights of her life was when she received her American citizenship at the age of 78 and which enabled her to vote in the last Presidential election for the first time and she was so excited.
