Funeral service for Josie "Chepa" Sansing will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father John Ohlig officiating. Viewing will be from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Brownfield Funeral Home, with Rosary at 6:00 pm.
Chepa departed this life on July 10, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on June 14, 1939, in Aspermont, Texas, Chepa was a beloved daughter of Jesse Rodriguez and Manuela Fabila. Her spirit shone brightly throughout her life, touching the hearts of all who knew her.
Chepa, a cherished resident of Brownfield, Texas, was renowned for her love of gardening, a testament to her nurturing spirit. She delighted in spending time with family and friends, creating beautiful moments filled with laughter and love. She embraced life fully, leaving behind a legacy rich with cherished memories.
Chepa was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Ray Sansing; two sons, Johnny Ray Sansing and Nick Anthony Sansing; siblings, Pete Rodriguez, Tony Rodriguez, Jesse Rodriguez Jr., Alice Reyes, Mary Salas, Anita Talamantez, and Manuela Moreno.
Chepa is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Carouth, grandchildren Brandon, Christopher, Matthew, Danny, and Kimberly Carouth, Michelle Alvarado, and Arien Sansing; great-grandchildren Sabre, Ryan, Devon, Zaiden, Alizeah, Christian, Ashlynn Carouth, Aaron Perez, and Tomasa Longoria.
