Josue , Zuniga as we referred to at the mine was a helpful boss, yet he enjoyed joking around with people he felt close to , an enjoyable man to talk to , full of info. St. Johns was the last meeting with him. He was surprised to see me there. May he rest in peace!

Love you all, The Gamboa Daughters

Our hearts are heavy and saddened to see your grief intensified now with the death of your sweet Daddy. The only understanding we can seek from his loss is that your Mamá wanted to share Valentine's Day with him. It's a sweet and genuine love story of two dedicated souls. We will miss Zuni deeply. He was a man loved by many especially by our family-he was family!

Our Daddy's were very similar in many ways, their true stature was towering because of their strength, golden hearts, and the devotion & love to their families. Both were copper miners, good providers, mischevious men that joked like boys, both played & loved baseball, both were blessed with many daughters, both feared nothing, were fierce & strong men, hard working, had strong work ethics, both served their God & church, & both loved their Viejas & could not live without them in the end. They don't make them like that anymore, they were rare & they were ours, & we were very blessed!

We are left here to bear life without them and often you will feel lost and unsure especially during holidays, but they never really leave us. You will find them close by still watching over your families. They left a legacy of faith & love in their family hold tight to that it's unbreakable.

JC was fun to be around, his kidding and teasing made it bearable to work at Magma, he will always be remembered.

You have my deepest sympathy on the loss of your father and grandfather, especially so soon after the passing of your mother and grandmother. Josue was a wonderful, warm, witty man of character and dignity. My husband met Josue through a neighbor, and he worked for Michael since 2007. We always looked forward to his monthly visits. After he finished working, we would sit down to some coffee or iced tea and make him some toast or a sandwich. He always made us laugh, and best of all, he made us laugh at ourselves with his teasing. It warmed our hearts to see his relationship with his nieto, Jesse. Their love and respect for one another was a wonderful thing to watch. Although Josue slowed down greatly over the last year, with his breathing problems, he still came to work and only missed the Saturday before he died. We will miss him greatly and can only imagine the hole his passing has left in your life. God bless you and keep you. You're in our prayers.

Sincere condolences to the family. When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure in your heart and it lives forever. May the wonderful treasures fill your hearts with love and bring you peace, Hosea 13:14.
