Joy Parsons Bitterman, 93, of Iuka, MS, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home. Joy enjoyed working in her yard, especially with her flowers. She also liked to sew, attending church services, and local singings. She is survived by her brother, Joe Parsons (Becky; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Bitterman; her parents, William L. and Zora Hazel Parsons; and her siblings, Pete Parsons, Vida Nichols, Faye Curtis, Jerry Parsons, and Gaye Honeycutt. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Sardis Cemetery in Iuka, MS.
