It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce the passing of Joy Estann Miller. She left us peacefully in her sleep on August 14th, and she is now forever free of the illness she suffered from.
To know Joy was to love her, and if you ever heard her laugh, you know how infectious it was. Joy had many passions in life, but nothing could beat her love for her family and fur babies, Piper and Scout, who were her main passion. Being “MiMi” to her grandchildren really kept her going.
She grew up in West Portsmouth, and moved to Columbus once she married her forever sweetheart, Tony Miller in 1984. She had 3 children, Kristian Miller, Anthony (Kayla) Miller, and Megan (Bryan) Clayworth. She also is survived by her 7 grandchildren; Kenny, Arabella, Aaliyah, Karter, Mason, Max Miller, and Cade Clayworth. She is survived by her father, Harold (Vicki) Milar, siblings, Sharon Kaltenbach, Shannon Pressley, and Kenny Pressley, along with her Uncle Kenny and Aunt Linda Grooms.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Esta Grooms and Ruthann Grooms. Also preceded in death by brother, Ed Pressley, along with many aunts and uncles. Her precious fur babies, Pricilla and Sadie also welcomed her with their open paws.
Joy always was the one to jump in and help in whatever situation. She was so strong, and giving throughout her life, and every person she met she treated like family. Everyone who came into her home she considered her children as well.
Joy never left the house without her signature red lipstick and beautiful smile.
