Joy Sandlin Obituary
Joy was born on February 18, 1932 in Paducah, Texas to Willie & Oleta Gibbs. She married Joe Edd Sandlin in 1951. He preceded her in death on July 25, 1983. They had a strong marriage and were true partners in all things in life. Joy was a voracious reader and would easily read 8-10 books a week. She was a diehard Dallas Cowboy fan, served as a Cub Scout leader, Church school teacher and supported her children in all sports.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Edd Sandlin; two sons, Gregory Lance Sandlin and Joe Bruce Sandlin and two sisters & their spouses, Juanita Stewart and Onita Elliott.
Joy is survived by her daughter-in-law, Karen Sandlin; two grandchildren, Scott Sandlin and Celinda Ledger; six great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren.
