Joy Turner Obituary
EATON — Joy Lynne Turner, 73, of Eaton, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties in Middletown.
She was born Aug. 1, 1952, in Dayton, to the late James Wesley Sr. and Johanna Mae (Karns) Pelling. Joy was a member of the Eaton Community Church where she enjoyed participating in Bible Study; she enjoyed spending time with family and friends; and had several loyal guide dogs throughout her life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Larry Turner; and brother James W. Pelling Jr.
She is survived by her niece Angela Lynn (Tim) Kirkpatrick of Greeley, Colorado; nephew Joseph (Rhonda) Pelling of Greeley, Colorado; great-niece Rachel Hope Kirkpatrick of Greeley, Colorado; cousin Daniel Wheeler of Liberty Township, and numerous other cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Jan. 29, from noon until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. at the Gard Funeral Home, 226 W. Main Street, Eaton, with Pastor Dan Denlinger officiating. Burial will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery in West Alexandria.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Eaton Community Church, 813 Camden Road, Eaton, OH 45320.
