Swedberg Taylor Funeral Homes & Cremation Services - WebsterJoyce “Morse” Anderson, age 88, passed away on December 13, 2025, in Shell Lake, WI.
She was born on July 23, 1931, in Sibley, IA, to Harold and Alice Morse. At the age of 4, her family moved to the Coomer area. She attended school in Coomer and later Siren High School.
In 1955, she married Red Anderson. She worked as a bookkeeper at Twin City Tea in Minneapolis, MN. She later worked at Woodland Transport and Doerr Electric in Siren, WI. After that, she attended Vo-Tech to become a CNA and worked at Cape Side Cove, The Lodge, Crooked Lake, and DSI.
Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting, reading, jigsaw puzzles, bowling, sewing, quilting, playing bridge, and other card games. Most of all, she loved dancing with Red every chance they got. She enjoyed hosting cocktail parties, family dinners, reunions, and celebrations for Christmas, anniversaries, birthdays, weddings, and baby showers. She was known for baking wedding cakes, as well as cookies and candies at Christmas time, which she shared with family and friends. After retirement, she spent the winter months in Mission, TX.
She is survived by her daughter, Muriel Keys; sons, Darwin (Bobby) and Dwight (Cindy); granddaughters, Alicia (Anderson) Ward, Jessica Nicholson (Russ), and Tara Anderson; grandsons, Mark Keys (Shannon) and Ian (Katrina) Anderson; and great-grandchildren, Jahnua, Atlie, Coen, Madison, Lincoln, Jackson, and Carter. Also, her closest and dear friend, Wendy Kosloski.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Red; daughter and son-in-law, Marian and Duane Nicolson; her parents; sister, Annabell Feltman; and brothers, Duane, Harold David, Kenny, and Richard Morse.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church in Siren, WI. A luncheon will follow.
