Millsboro - Joyce A. Bartoli, age 65, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 25, 2021 with her loving husband, her son and her best friend, Cindy, by her side.

Born in Wilmington, DE, Joyce was the daughter of the late Donald E. and Janet (Shane) Wilhelm. She graduated from De La Warr High School and was a U.S. Army Veteran. Before retiring, Joyce worked as the scheduler at Mid-Atlantic Family Practice for many years. In earlier years, she bartended at the Milford Elks Club as well as Joel's Restaurant and Bar in Stanton, where she was loved by all her many regulars.

Joyce loved spending time at the beach, where she enjoyed fishing and clamming. She was a talented jewelry maker, which she crafted out of sea glass. Joyce also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and doing arts and crafts. She had a daily routine, which included watching her favorite soap operas. Joyce was also very close with her father-in-law, Richard Bartoli, Sr. and enjoyed watching the Price is Right with him. She also loved her exotic pet birds and her dog.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 20 years, Louis G. Bartoli; her son, Wesley Wilhelm (Yazmin); her granddaughter, Zoey Wilhelm; her step-daughter, Sarah Geiger (Tom Huffman); her sisters, Donna Stone (Wilson Fox) and Lea Ann Workman; her best friend, Cindy Phipps (Dennis); her longtime friend, Kathy Roberts; her brothers-in-law, Richard Bartoli (Lisa) and Robert Bartoli (Donna); her sister-in-law, Danielle Menosky (Michael); as well as many nieces and nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents and her father-in-law.

Family and friends may visit from 10:30 to 11:30 AM on Wednesday, April 14 at Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808. A Celebration of Joyce's Life will begin at 11:30 AM, which will be live-streamed on her obituary page on the funeral home website.
